Trustmedia: Sidewinder & Sliding Doors to enchance digital impact

L’Echo | De Tijd (Trustmedia) are now enabling brands to use 2 new formats, said to be previously unseen in Belgium.

Starting form a normal ad, Sidewinder then extends to 300 X 600 pixels, and then to 900 X 600. It may include additional interactive features, such video or animations.

Sliding Doors starts form a half page or classic ads, but includes a click-to-reveal option that deploys the message on full screen.

Rossel allies with Efluenz to develop influencer marketing

Rossel Advertising has closed a partnership deal with Efluenz, start-up specialized in influencer marketing. Their influencer portfolio consists of more than 800 people, mainly nano and micro-influencers. With that network, Efluenz already have realized around 30 campaigns such as Tomorrowland Winter.

The partnering between Efluenz and Rossel will provide  Rossel with a larger inventory with new advertising formats available.

With a large offer of influencers, Efluenz can match each brand with the right people to showcase it. It could be a good complement to a traditional advertising campaign.

Belgian Data Alliance: joining forces to compete with GAFA

The recently announced Belgian Data Alliance may be seen as Belgian actors from the media world uniting their strengths (more precisely: data) to provide the advertising market with alternatives to Google and Facebook. In the practice, the current partners would be Proximus, Telenet, Rossel (Le Soir, Sudpresse...), RTBF, RTL, Mediahuis (De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad...), De Persgroep (De Morgen, VTM...), VRT, and SBS (Vier, Vijf...). Pooling their data, they would enable the Belgian ad market would access to sets of profiles and audiences that would go much further than any of these players separately. These partners represent approximately 71% of total visits on the Belgian websites and a cumulated reach of 71.5% on Belgian surfers (CIM Internet May 2019).

New at Teads: In Read Carousel format

Teads has launched a new display format to leverage existing social assets to run within a viewable Carousel.

Since May 2019, their portfolio allows to integrate a carousel such as for Facebook and Instagram in a display format and in a (semi) automatic way.

Integrated into editorial content, as their other existing display formats, this new feature provides users with a selection of 3 to 8 slides and allows them to discover different products in one ad. A call to action is possible on each slide.

Carousel can house shoppable product pages to drive consumers from consideration to purchase. Ads only run when in view and only billed when viewable.

Interesting format when you run a campaign with several products to show and when the main KPI of the campaign consists of sales

Minimi.be : the new digital magazine

June 1st 2019: Gezondheid/PassionSanté and Wayne Parker Kent together launch a new website called Minimi.be. This website wants to build an online community of (future) parents.

Minimi.be is aimed at a specific target group : young parents or future parents  - and intends to provide them with reliable and non-pontificating information.

It is aimed to be a practical guide for young (future) moms and dads,: it is divided into 5 sections focused oa on their desire of child, the pregnancy and their baby.

The site is available in French and Dutch.

Opportunity to specifically reach a very precise and elusive target group.
